For Sean
Sean's life was a reflection of an inclusive community.
The Sean King Fund for Inclusive Practices was established to remember and honor his inspiring and amazing life through creating opportunities for inclusion, by educating our schools and community about inclusion and creating programs that promote friendships and learning opportunities between children, teens and young adults with and without disabilities. The Fund may specifically support such ideas and projects as: Best Buddies, developing peer tutoring programs, assisting faith communities, including all children in religious education and social programs, partnering with schools to provide professional development on strategies that promote social relationships, peer supports, and student awareness and creating forums for community education on inclusion, and hosting talent shows that encourage the participation of ‘experienced’ performers of varying abilities.
